Lovemaking Silhouette

Clouds drifting through,
patches of sky, deepening blue.
Wisps of willows, dancing,
she sits in thoughts of him,
romancing.

Stormy gray, shadows of light,
dark silhouettes, in the onset of night.
Upon a dream, with wide eyes,
streams glisten, the eagle cries.

His voice drifting through,
patches of sky, his eyes, deepening blue.
Kisses stormy gray, shadows of light,
their sihouettes dance ‘neath the willows in the onset of night.

Clouds drifting through,
upon a cherry blossom, droplets gently land.
She sees the twisting branches,
feels the touch of his hand.

Stormy gray, shadows of light,
Wisps of willows, dancing,
their dark silhouettes, making love, in the onset of night,
upon a dream, with wide eyes, thoughts of him,
romancing.

Broken Floor Boards

Art: Unknown (Information Could Be Helpful)

“You musn’t cry miss,
please don’t cry miss. I’ve saved for you a ration of my bread.”
“Its okay miss, I’ll stay by you miss.”
the words, the young boy said.

“My ma and pa, miss,
said with you, I musn’t speak,
it is war miss, it is war miss,
and you are the ones the uniforms seek.”

“I don’t care miss, I’ll bide my time miss,
I’ll be here for you anyway,
I’ll hide you miss, I’ll hide you,
‘neath the broken floor boards,
a small hollow in my room, miss, for you to safely stay.”

The siren sound,
the siren sound,
echoes through the emptying town.
A sad song, a sad song,
huddling close,
as planes crash down.

Years to pass, years to pass.
“Ma and pa, are gone.
Seems endless miss, seems endless miss,
the guns and suits still carry on.”

“I don’t care miss, I’ll bide my time miss,
I’ll be here for you anyway,
I’ll hide you miss, I’ll love you miss,
‘neath the broken floor boards,
a small hollow in my room,
if it need be miss, if it need be miss,
‘til my dying day.”

“The gunfire has ceased miss,
please take my hand miss,
hold it ‘til time for us comes to an end.
I’ll be here for you miss,
I’ll be here for you miss,
you are my love,
you are my friend.

Years to pass, years to pass,
calmer winds blowing through,
remembering, remembering.
when skies were darkened, destructive reign,
now clear, the days’ view.

“Hold my hand miss,
hold my hand miss, I’ll love you ‘til time’s end
She whispers, she whispers, “I’ve saved for you a ration, of sweet bread,
just for you my love, just for you, my friend.”

Romantic Eve Beneath the Crescent Moon

They drift along the lake,
a romantic eve beneath the crescent moon,
stars glittering, the calm shadows of love stretch over land,
across water, touching gently with their eyes,
he reaches to hold her hand.

They drift endlessly,
the rippling motion, like a dance in the night,
they sway in comforting slow current,
as cloud cover deepens in color,
in their love they delight.

They drift peacefully,
the only sounds, water splashing in song,
they hold closely, watching the brightest star in the sky,
a treasured diamond,
as their love beneath the crescent moon is carried along.

They drift happily,
heart and moonlight shimmer reflect,
as tree limbs reach to touch in magical beauty,
they smile happily,
without a sound,
their hearts connect.

They drift along the lake,
a romantic eve beneath the crescent moon,
stars glittering, the calm shadows over the land,
their love,
touching gently with their eyes,
drifting hand in hand.

Out In the Sun, Beneath the Moon

One step at a time,
a little give and a little take,
without taking it all away,
a better day to make.

Out in the sun,
he held her hand,
warmth,
such a simple demand.

One step at time,
each day another view,
in hopes of sunrises, beautiful sunsets,
you loving me, and I, loving you.

Beneath the moon,
he drew her near,
tenderness,
such a night as thoughts, becoming clear.

Dream Dance Romance

Lamp posts lined the streets in her quiet walk,
she passes a gentleman, slightly lifting his hat, nodding to say hello,
the road still wet from the passing rain, shining like glass,
her image, blurred reflection, upon the ground beneath the soft light glow.

Fog gently lifts from the shiny blackened surface,
spiraling white mist, her long dress sweeps through,
she finds a bench to sit upon,
watching the clouds still swirling, then the moon comes into view.

The sound of hooves, gently drumming, wheels spinning slow,
the carriage appears before her, a violinist beside the coachman, begins a tune of romance.
She climbs in, sitting, listening, the trotting blends in with gentle strums,
laying her head back, closing her eyes, dreaming, he takes her hand, they slowly dance.

His arms draped around her waist, her head upon his shoulder,
she shivers in the night air, he covers her with his coat, holds her to him tight.
She opens her eyes, street lights disappearing, the scent of flowering trees,
lids closing once again, music carrying her dreamy sight.

He removes the ribbon from her hair,
a soft pink floral replacement, his gentle eyes touch her own,
a kiss falls upon her smiling lips,
his steps, she follows his lead, he lifts her to sit upon the wall of stone.

She wakes, emerging from the carriage,
the sound of hooves, gently drumming, wheels spinning slow,
she listens to the tune, in the distance, trotting blends in with gentle strums,
a dream of lovers’ swaying beneath the moonlit glow.

Loving Visions

The lines upon his face told a story struggle, wisdom,
his voice told tales, realities, vision.
The tired worn eyes told of pain, of love.

He tossed his spirit into the clouds,
and spread the shadow over the land,
he held the strength of the eagle in flight upon his aging hand.

His strength represented in each feather,
many moons have drifted by,
he opens his arms to embrace the night,
a tear falls from his eye.

His love remembers, such beauty,
the wildest of horses could never tame
clouds fall softly in kisses
the wind, she whispers his name.

Soon he will will hold her closely once again,
his arms strong picking her up, a soft kiss upon her face
meeting once again upon the mountainside,
watching the colors drifting upward from the waterfalls,
in love, as life, this special place.

Beneath the Same Moon

Beneath purple skies lit with the moon,
she walks in with the river flow.
He stands in the distance,
beneath the same moon glow.

Wondering…
maybe…but no…
her thought protests the notion.
Her future stands in the presence,
as she heals her heart…
defying emotion.

She blends into the trees,
hair wisps into the leaves…
her child, flowers in hand.
Golden hearts…golden hair.
Still…whispers…love she believes.

She pretends she can’t hear the whispers,
passing through the air,
in the night…
she turns to see him still standing there,
her heart flutters,
but…she disappears from sight.

Wondering…
maybe…but no…could it be?…
her thoughts…love…
she stands in the present…
beneath the same moon as he…

Endless

He said, “it’ll all be okay,
just take a deep breath, one day at a time.” He wiped the tear.
He said, “everything will be alright, I’ll help you through,
don’t you worry, I’ll be right here.”

She pulled away.

He said, “wait don’t go, stay here with me for awhile,
we can go for a walk, one step at a time, take my hand.” He reached out.
He said, “tell me your visions of what a future could hold, I’d like to be there,
don’t you worry, I promise my love you’ll never be without.

Her eyes shifted to the distance, fading thought.

He said, “please take your eyes off that old tree,
just for a moment, look at me.”
He said, “there is something I see in your eyes of true heart and soul,
and that is the place I’d like to be.”

She moved closer.

She said, “we could go on talking forever”
she took a deep breath, “but talking is not the only thing that I need to hear.”
She said, “I know everything will be alright,
I can wipe away the fallen tear.”

He listened attentively.

She said, “I’ll stay here with you for awhile,
we can go for a walk, one step at a time, neither of us leading, but side by side.” She reached out.
She said, “tell me your visions of what a future could hold, we’ll both share,
in that maybe we both can discover what true love is about.”

He gazed upon her.

She said, “Please take your eyes off me,
just for a moment, look upon that old tree.”
She said, “there stands the breath of life, strong reaching high,
seems it goes on forever loving the sun and the moon in the sky,
symbolic of the endless heart and soul in my eyes that you see.

Their lips met beneath the tree, in the Autumn shade,
his hand moved to touch her hair,
a soft yellow leaf fell upon her,
as they embraced in the hearts’ discovery there.

Shadows Above the Earth

Shadows upon the earth,
as clouds flow, tumbling, rolling through an ominous sky,
over the constantly moving ocean of lovers’ dreams,
rainfalls that fill waterfalls, misty tears, the winds sigh.

Shadows dance upon the earth,
as clouds enchant the mountains, intrigue the trees, in a foggy embrace,
over the constantly moving rivers of mystical souls’ desire,
as sunlight pours through in rays in warmth between the evergreens tear dampened face.

Shadows upon the earth,
as clouds flow, tumbling, rolling, through an ominous sky,
over the drifts of sandy dunes, a desert of parched crumbling hearts,
rainfalls that the earth drinks eagerly, from the winds another sigh.

Shadows dance upon the earth,
as clouds encircle smiling lovers’ sunlit glow,
soft essence of fragrant flowers, kissed in the mist,
above and below the love-making rainbow.

Calm Love of Night

A match struck, and in the darkness, a candle,
glowing upon her face, in the dim lit quarters near her bed.
He lay still, as she touched him, he did not wake,
unaware of the loneliness that filled her head.

She disappeared into the hall, following it to another room
with her sleeping child, placed a kiss upon the forehead,
and continued on down the old stairs,
to a large room and the comforts of a chair, softly cushioned red.

The fountain pen flowing upon the textured paper,
a journal to which she poured herself into, in unbridaled emotion,
in the essence of what she had expected love to grant,
and where upon she set her devotion.

Shadows upon the window,
she emerged to look upon, the trees swaying in the world outside,
in dance, the branch, from which leaves were falling,
scattering upon the earth below, she quietly sighed.

The moon lit the sculptures in the garden,
now solemnly unattended, and quietly the candle burned.
A mirror reflected her figure as she passed, a glance upon herself,
and within her minds eye, as her lids closed in thought, her heart yearned.

The door opened in the wind outside,
to which she stepped to feel the soft touches upon the night air,
sitting upon the grass below the old oak, she dreamed in romantic smiles,
and a soft kiss of raindrops fell upon her lips, as though love was there.

A smile in her heart, as she layed upon the lush cool grass,
looking upon the stars connecting infinitely in the skies above,
clouds drifting by, as the owl took flight upon night,
a place to which her soul, knew of a true love.

The Courtship of a Lady

He peers out the window across the valley,
as she gracefully steps toward the pond shaded beneath her umbrella from mid-day sun.
A man meets with her acquaintance, attempting a courtship,
more to follow before the day is done.

He deligently writes, ink splatters and crumpled papers,
he paces, hesitations in the manners to which he should profess such deep emotions.
“I would lay down my sword for you my lady”
but I must not write this, for I am no coward in of these devotions.

“I will raise that sword yet again for you my lady, in battle,
for you I’d fight until the death.”
but I must not write this for she may regard me as a savage,
a heartless fool in the words’ breath.

Time moves forward in the passing of the suns, the moons,
until the next time he sees the light of her eyes,
a rugged man of high stature, walking along her side,
he knows what this means, his heart cries.

He deligently writes, ink splatters, and crumpled papers,
he paces, hesitations in the manners to which he should profess what he has held in his heart so long.
“Nothing, no one in this world could ever change a thing my lady, my love.”
but I must not write this, for I am a man, I must be strong.

“I would place a kiss upon the softness of your hand, hold it forever my lady,
though all I could give would be of my heart alone.”
but I must not write this, for another’s heart you already own.

The next time he saw her,
sadness played upon her face,
beside her the rugged man tugging her about,
she walked silently, her eyes falling down, following the course of her place.

He diligently writes, ink splatters, and crumpled papers,
he paces, no hesitations in the manners to which he should profess such deep emotions.
“I would lay down my sword for you my lady,
though I am no coward in these devotions,
I will raise that sword yet again for you my lady, in battle,
for you I’d fight until the death,
do not regard this a savagery,
as I’ll love you until my very last breath.”

He peers out across the valley,
meeting with her in the mid-day sun,
he hands to her his letter, attempting his courtship,
his battle, professing his love, his heart has won.

Two Lovers

They were two lovers seeking but one soul,
meeting quietly along their rocky path,
reaching out carressing the hand, leaving a leafy trail,
joining them, making them whole.

Each moment passing, growing ever closer, touching,
entwining from the roots to which began this life,
making-love beyond the surface to which had been trampled upon,
growing ever deeper, warmed by the days' thoughts, merging.

Time drifting, they sway along with the breeze,
quenched from thirst for which was sought, through the rains of life.
Limbs embracing, strengthening, surpassing the storm,
reaching closer still through the wintery freeze.

They were two lovers seeking but one soul,
entwined from the roots to which began this life.
Making-love beyond the surface to which had been trampled upon,
growing ever deeper, joining them, making them whole.

She Wonders

It doesn't feel much like pain anymore,
as she reaches once again to find his place empty on the bed.
The tears fall, but not so much for him,
but for the little girl, playing in her room instead.
It doesn't feel much like loneliness,
as a meal is prepared for a family but only to seat just two.
Thoughts set, caring for her child,
laughters shared as she grows, her best put in, is all she can do.
It doesn't feel much like emptiness,
as she listens to the sounds of his breathing each night,
his arms never reaching out to hold anymore,
talks now, just a hush of words, for his love she gives up the fight.
She wonders if he'll feel that pain,
as he reaches to find her place empty on the bed,
will tears ever fall for her,
or for the thoughts of their little girl, as they drift inside his head.
She wonders if he'll feel the loneliness,
to prepare his meals all on his own,
will his thoughts remember how he's set it all aside,
laughing with his friends how nothing could hold him down, as he sits there all
alone.
She wonders if he'll feel empty,
to her it doesn't matter anymore anyway.
She hopes her words in time echo back at him,
as he just let her love slip away.
It doesn't feel much like pain anymore,
as she reaches for the door.
It doesn't feel much like loneliness in the room that is empty,
as she knows love has more than one side, but its too late for him to see.

The Seedling, the Medallion, and the Thorn

He was but a young man, in need of much knowledge,
when he met upon her face, pouring out so much warmth,
her gown glowing, flowing white, dancing around her,
as if in song, fluttering as butterflies grace upon the meadows,
quietly, so quietly,
she whispered,
“You must take these three things with you upon your travels”
She handed him, a simple seedling, a shining gold medallion,,
and a thorn from the vines of a rose.
He asked, confused, “What could these be for?”
She whispered into his soul, “Your heart already knows.”
Her essence and beauty disappeared into the winds,
as they swirled leaves upon the breeze.
He folded the items carefully inside a kerchief
and placed them in his pocket.
The significance of these curious items, he was about to find.
He continued to reach a part of the earth,
with the air difficult to take in,
trees withering, brown dead grass, and in the middle of its depths,
the sounds of crying,
a mother holding her child.
“He has not the air to breathe.”
He silently removed his kerchief from his pocket,
and took the seedling out in his hands,
without hesitation, he planted them into the earth, as he kneeled beside them.
Her tears dampened the ground,
and quickly a plant emerged, sprouting leaves.
The heavy air surrounding them cleared,
a gasp of breath brought forth the young boy, renewing his life.
He continued on his travels,
coming to a village, rejoicing in festivities,
a woman adorned in clothing, of such a lady of the night.
She attempted to stir him in emotions, in lieu of trade,
she discovered the kerchief within his pocket.
His lonely heart, perhaps yearning, but not weak.
He turned her away, and continued.
Passing years, living the simple man’s life,
growing in much more knowledge.
He came upon his trousers, without hesitation, reached inside the pocket,
he found the gold medallion,
it had glistened brightly like the sun,
glowing as brightly as the flowing white that danced around her,
he remembered,
then remembered the thorn, and reached inside to grasp.
sharp as blood trickled. Quiet, so quiet.
He once again saw her face, such warmth.
She whispered into his soul, “Your heart already knows.”
Suddenly he was sitting upon the stool, realizing he had pricked his finger upon the needle,
his reality as a tailor, he took much care in the creations paying special attention, his fabric of love.
She placed a kiss upon his lips, the dress he had made for her, glowing, flowing white danced around her.
Outside his window, a young boy playing in the streets, healthy with his friends,
the breath of life, a tree, standing reaching into the clouds, surrounded in beauty of the earth.
He smiled upon her, as the medallion cascaded from her neck, gently touching upon her chest, close to her heart.
She placed her hand upon it, smiled upon him, and whispered “I love you” into his soul.

A Weary Traveler

Frost settling upon the window glass,
crystallizing, as the night grew colder.
The fire crackling, warmth inside the old cabin,
as she pulled the soft cotton comforter over her shoulder.

She stared out the window as though awaiting something, someone,
that could somehow rescue her from this silent lonely, place.
She sipped from her cup the steamy hot cocoa, catching the aroma upon taste.
The flavor caressing her lips, a light smile upon her face.

Her hair still wet from the softness of a bath, fell upon her shoulders,
she arose from her chair, and removed a book from the shelf, and lit the lantern,
and began reading from the page she had marked,
a romance novel, shadowed by the flicker of light beside her, slow burn.

She whispered some of the words aloud,
as the lines of writing met upon her own heart.
She quietly closed the book and placed it upon the table beside her.
Perhaps this love of her own in her mind, could be worlds apart.

A knock came upon the door, a sense of urgency,
fast paced heartbeat, she collected herself, opening the door, cold air rushing through.
A weary traveler, an arm broken from a fall, requesting her help,
she let him in, to see what she could do.

His eyes, kind, thankful, yet so tired.
She let him rest upon the sofa, quietly watching him upon sleep,
as her eyes closed, drifting in dreams, yet again her love she would meet,
deep inside, passions stirring, her mind would keep.

He had awoken before her, tending the fire.
The smell of a freshly cooked breakfast and coffee,
smiling upon her, “I hoped you would not mind.”
His offer, she smiled back at him,
and life as she knew it, changed, and her book solemnly left for another heart to find.

Dearest Heart, Dear Soul

Dearest heart, why must you break in tides on ocean currents,
fluid transparencies of life’s lonely epiphanies,
pulled into dreams on love’s moon gravities,
on thought seas.

Dear soul, you know the answer to the ever-flowing question,
because you remain afloat to still view the sky,
to still see the stars as they shoot by,
for your dreams, as they never die.

Dearest heart, why must you cloud my vision, in rains of tears,
flooded mind of life’s future ahead of me,
pulled into dreams of what love could be,
yet eyes awash, I cannot see.

Dear soul, you know the answer as it falls upon your heart,
because those clouds will open in sunlight waking,
giving in warmth, condensation of tears, of what life may be taking,
and it will flow on, repeating, for true heart, be it true love, in the making.

Peaceful Pleasures Past

A golden field with wisps of long grasses, to and fro
the air flowing gently along in slow motion, moving.

Dandelions and the soft fluff of white drifting upward in circles,
as a dragonfly hums by.
A small cottage in the distance,
and further beyond a mountain reaching upward,
touching the gray sky........

A Golden Glow

A golden glow, held in hands carrying it forth with care.
A whisper through the clouds,
followed him there.

A rainbow,
resting color glowing over a shoulder,
and yet seemingly unnoticed, warmed when days could not have been colder.

A wind,
spoke of beauty forthcoming in blossoming growth,
change,

still in the presence of a fading flower,
ironic yet not so strange.

A shadow, and a light cascading,
through crimson sky,
and yet not a question,
why.

A golden glow,
held in hands carrying it forth with care,
and love surrounded,
handing him his heart there.

And quietly,
a golden glow,
a rainbow,
a wind,
whispering through the clouds,
blossoming,
in a shadow,
light cascading,
beneath a crimson sky,
smiled upon him,
and disappeared into the golden heart,
he now carried, in his own hands.
